Weyerhaeuser Store Clerk in Grande Prairie, Alberta

We currently have a full-time opportunity as a Store Clerk with the Materials Team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing all of the tasks associated with ensuring stocked inventory and routine materials are available as needed by the Mill. This position will report to the Materials Manager.

The expectations of this position include:

  • Aid operations in obtaining parts and supplies
  • Maintain inventory control (issue goods and file receipts)
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight
  • Support maintenance through ongoing training of personnel in parts sourcing via SAP
  • Support maintenance through work order kitting.
  • Delivery of kits to kitting areas in both mills & Temp Stores
  • Inventory count and verification.
  • Assist with creation of Material Masters.
  • Maintain a clean working environment in storeroom related areas through housekeeping and other stores related activities.
  • Receipt of incoming parts through verification of packing slips.
  • Verify parts and price on packing slips against purchase orders.
  • Follow up with vendors on errors or missing items.
  • Unloading of freight by forklift

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:

  • Ability to prioritize and learn quickly.
  • Willing and able to perform all duties of the role
  • Demonstrated positive leadership capability
  • Aptitude for and experience in equipment operations
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Grade 12 Or equivalent
  • Experience using MS Office and general computer proficiency
  • Previous experience and/or education in materials management would be an asset
  • Functional knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience and/or education in business administration/payroll would be an asset
  • High energy and self-motivated with proven strong interpersonal, listening, and communications skills (verbal and written/typing)
  • Possess a valid forklift license or ability to obtain one will be necessary for this position.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (less than 50 lbs.) and stand for long periods of time.
  • Hours of work are day shift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Specific hours are based on business need.
