Package Operator/Warehouse Person

Morton Salt just outside Grantsville, UT, located next to the Great Salt Lake, and nestled between the Oquirr Mountains to the East and the Stansburies to the West, is a great place to have a career.

As a Package Operator/Warehouse Person for the Mill Department (Packaging and Shipping of Salt Products) your responsibilities will include:

• Support and take responsibility to perform all job duties in a safe manner, following all safe work practices and safety policies, follow all quality processes, and ensure all environmental policies are adhered to daily.
• Tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, sanitizing, cleaning bins, unloading package material, supplying fill stations with packing materials, labels, or boxes, making trash bales, etc.
• Filling paper bags with salt, guiding them through a sewing head to seal them, and palletizing the finished products
• Driving a forklift to move product in the facility
• Assisting workers of higher classification in performing their tasks.
