Job Summary Using engineering methods, industry standards, and internal processes and procedures performs specific duties of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer; performs routine engineering related work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out related engineering tasks. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual problems and supports the Engineering Specialist; receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments. The Engineering Specialist position functions as a team member supporting gas asset management strategies in various areas such as station operations and construction, mapping and facility documentation, and code compliance activities. The Engineering Specialist conducts installation, operation, maintenance, and project activities with general instructions. The Engineering Specialist supports design & construction, operational, and code compliance activities of the assigned team while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, code compliance and financial responsibility.
