Recruiting Solutions is seeking highly motivatedCAD/Design Technicianto join an industry innovator in the design of retail interior decor inFountain Inn, SC! This is a temp to hire opportunity offering 1st shift, andpay range of $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.

SUMMARYThe CAD/Design Technician position is a hands-on role responsible for developing manufacturing drawings and programming for millwork, fixture, and graphics projects. As the CAD/Design Technician you will need to think critically, and problem solve with the support of the Engineering team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

• Develop and design technical drawings for approval internally ,and externally that fulfill technical objectives consistent with established guidelines, customer requirements and design specifications
• Provide input and alternate ideas to assist with problem solving
• Analyze and coordinate field measurements to revise shop drawings
• Annotate drawings to include callouts for hardware, finishes and assembly
• Monitor project related issues, scope changes, and variances that may arise during projects
• Participate in planning and scheduling project handoff meetings
• Prepare and program various machines for production upon approval of drawings
• Participate in all phases of project design including pre-design, fabrication, and installation review
• Assists with prototyping and sample testing
• Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Organizes files on internal servers
• Open to growth learning new ideas and or software
• Other duties may be assigned

KNOWLEDGE ANDSKILLS

• Strong background in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD/CAM software
• Must be detail oriented, well organized and a team player
• Self-motivated and able to finish jobs in a timely manner under tight deadlines with limited information providing workable solutions to challenges
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical, organizational and communication skills to develop and deliver clear, concise drawings for manufacturing and installation
• Knowledge of a variety of construction materials for fixture or interior dcor manufacturing including fabrics, metals, plastics, woods, laminates, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate's Degree in Drafting or Design or related field or minimum of 1-2 years experience
• Experience in AutoCAD, ALPHACAM or required
• Experience design programs Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
