As part of the Combustion Value Engineering team, you will be focused on driving continuous value optimization and cost-out across GE Vernova Gas Power’s Combustion products and service offerings. You’ll be empowered to identify alternate means, methods & approaches to problems, with an aim towards unlocking the maximum value-based opportunity for GE Vernova.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop holistic cross-functional business cases for cost optimization ideas, that include CAPEX, OPEX, & resource allocation

  • Participate in ideation sessions with cross functional stakeholders to identify big picture opportunities to increase value/revenue, and/or decrease total lifecycle cost of products.

  • Develop and leverage should-cost to identify potential for reducing cost and balancing value.

  • Create and drive the implementation of project plans until full value capture, including budget, resource, and program management.

  • Report financial performance to stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management.

  • Identify and present high-risk projects to business leaders and recommend risk mitigation and reduction strategies.

  • Create a long-term and sustainable engine within GE Vernova Gas Power for generating business value through cost-out efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business related discipline

  • Minimum 4 years experience in Engineering or Supply Chain

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior Gas Turbine Combustion Design Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, or Repair experience

  • Ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for ideas, urgency, and decisiveness

  • Open minded and willingness to challenge the status quo … brings new ideas and solutions to the table based on quantitative input.

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Drives execution of tasks and influences through formal channels and informal network

  • Strong problem-solving abilities & analytical skills (data analysis, formulating business cases, etc.)

  • Knowledgeable across product portfolio at the component level, financials, and commercial level

  • Knowledge of the power generation marketplace

  • Prior work as a lead engineer

For purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $104,000 - $173,400 USD Annual .

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable Incentive Bonus of 10%.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
