What will you do

The Engineering and Reliability Support team Intern (MS&T)is responsible for assisting with or supporting the reliability improvement efforts at the Kenvue Guelph site, focused on production equipment and associated systems. This person will participate in execution of capital equipment projects, delivery and preparation of documentation, all under controlled timelines and budgets, to meet current company, corporate and government requirements. All activities will be performed to ensure GMP, quality and regulatory compliance while meeting business demands

Responsibilities

  • Support Maintenance Supervisor and Reliability Engineer in reviewing equipment performance and downtime data, performing equipment failure root cause analysis, determining resolutions for unplanned downtime, creating dashboards, presenting results, and tracking follow-up actions.

  • Improve utilization of eCMMS by correcting and auditing system data and performing updates as necessary

  • Migrate existing Preventive maintenance job plans into eCMMS.

  • Participate in failure mode & effects analyses (FMECAs) on critical production equipment and implement required changes to maintenance and operations processes based on the outcomes.

  • Manage small / low-complexity projects from concept, planning, installation, qualification, implementation and post implementation.

  • Monitor project status and support development of Engineering solutions to deliver customer requirements, budgets and schedules, using enterprise-level project management software.

  • Lead compliance management activities related to project execution and equipment modification, such as generating Technical Reports, Change Control, Investigation, CAPA, and Standard Operating Procedure documentation.

  • Partner with Project Engineers to prepare and execute equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and qualification activities.

  • Oversee / supervise project contractors, prepare and approve safety permits as necessary during scheduled plant shutdowns (July / December)

  • Assess operational issues and propose resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client goals and objectives

  • Input drawings and maintain the engineering drawing database

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must be a current undergraduate student in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree at an accredited university

  • Currently enrolled in a co-op program and available for 8 or 12 months, starting April 2024

Desired Qualifications

o Experience with to mechanical and electrical AUTOCAD, 3D drawing, 3D printing.

o Prior experience in an industrial equipment environment would be considered an asset.

o Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices would be beneficial.

o Strong technical comprehension.

o Demonstrate ability to deliver projects on time and within budget - project management skills.

o Must be self-motivated, persuasive, and flexible in actions, and willing to execute tasks as required while working with minimal supervision.
