Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an engaging, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including managing employee relations, recruiting, conducting new permanent orientation, and updating the employee handbook.

Your responsibilities

• Develop templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook

• Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations

• Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews

• Collaborate with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors

• Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite

• Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations

• Assess employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)

• Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections

• Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees

• Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures

• Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

• Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department Requirements - Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

• Excellent written and verbal business skills

• Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms

• Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus

• Full cycle recruiting experience

  • This role needs to be highly detail oriented; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity

• Prior HR Generalist experience

• Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws

• B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis

• Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
