Job Overview:

Surgical Physician Assistant. The candidate will be a critical member of the surgical team, caring for patients with surgical problems/needs, and related surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Board certified or Board eligible surgeon, Credentialed Physician's Assistant

• Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification Required

• Possess a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred

• Experience with surgical patients is highly preferred

• Experience with robotics is preferred but is not the deciding factor.

Scheduled Requirements:

• Full Time

• Day Shift

• 40 hours

Essential Functions:

• Evaluating and managing patients with surgical diseases

• Performing bedside procedures when appropriate

• Assist the surgeon in the operating room,

• Ensure continuum of care between the inpatient and outpatient areas,

• Will be required to be on-call, during the evenings/nights/weekends and holidays on rotation,

• The successful candidate will function in full compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations and standards of care,

• Perioperative preparation and postoperative clinical management will be conducted in collaboration with the attending physician and other health care professionals,
