DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administration and Management Trainee, you will participate in a 12-month structured training program designed to develop administrative and technical competence while giving you an understanding of state government organizations and operations. You will work closely with higher-level human resource professionals to grow your knowledge base and expand your skills to prepare you for promotion to higher-level human resource positions. Upon successful completion of this training program, you will be promoted to a permanent Human Resource Analyst. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

This position will include assisting in conducting disciplinary investigations, investigating and resolving Union grievances, acting as the employer advocate at Unemployment Compensation hearings, and consulting with and advising Management on contractual and disciplinary issues.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, but in-office attendance may be required as operational needs dictate. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
