DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an intern, you will assist with non-routine tasks alongside the veterinary pathologists in the postmortem examination room and at the multi-headed microscope. Some of the tasks may include observing/assisting in necropsies, preparing, and presenting a case presentation to the laboratory, looking at microscopic slides with a pathologist, and taking mock examinations. In addition to assisting with non-routine pathology tasks, the position would also include helping with non-routine tasks in other areas of the laboratory.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors: Pre-Veterinary Medicine Biological Science An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable. Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Freshman year completed Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license. This position is required to be rabies vaccinated or be willing to get rabies vaccinated prior to the internship. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
