Description

Robert Half is currently partnering with a manufacturing client in the recruiting for an experienced Billing and Collections Manager to join their team in a Shared Services environment with multiple locations. In this role, you will oversee the operations of the billing and collections department, ensuring that bills are generated and sent out accurately and on time while maintaining high customer satisfaction. You will also manage all activities and operations in the collections function.

This is a permanent placement opportunity offering hybrid structure, full benefits package with generous PTO.

Day to day:

  • Oversee and streamline billing and collections operations.

  • Manage the invoicing and collection processes ensuring timely and efficient collection of payments.

  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures for the billing and collections department.

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships while handling high-level escalated customer service issues.

  • Review and improve existing billing and collections processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor and report on key billing and collections metrics to upper management.

  • Coordinate and work with other departments like sales and customer service to ensure streamlined operations.

  • Ensure all transactions are compliant with federal and state regulations.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performance billing and collection team.

  • Resolve complex billing issues and customer complaints.

  • Maintain the billing and collections database and ensure data integrity.

    Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • A minimum of five years' experience in an AR, billing or collections management role.

  • Strong understanding of the billing and collection process.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices
