Collaborate with business leaders, partners and vendor to support and help implement feature uplifts, vulnerability, customization requests and end-of-life for the room solutions team. You work actively to realize the value of new features with users. You manage the engineering team’s sprint backlog, participate actively in all phases of the iteration process, and cross-functional collaboration.
Core Product
Room solutions tools such as Cisco Video Endpoints, displays, microphones and speakers.
Discovery of user’s needs, pain points and use cases
Validation of vendor product answers, review use cases before purchasing vendor tool.
Identify opportunities to integrate vendor product with other internal tools
Manage user relationship and set realistic expectation about vendor backlog and product capabilities
Have a tool agnostic mindset, noncommittal as far as any tool is concerned. The product and team needs are more important
Vendor Management
Provide support model and process between vendor (Cisco) and internal support team.
Manage large number of vendor-initiated changes
Raise and manage vulnerabilities
Manage and re-new licenses and ensure the ROI is met
Keep up to date about vendor documentation
Pro-actively work with vendor to resolve problems and security incidents
Manage both internal roadmap and vendor roadmap.
Influence the vendor product roadmap based on user feedback/ UX research
Test feature uplifts with existing integrations ahead of release
Support

Scope of Impact/Influence
Manage two different roadmaps simultaneously
Elevated level of support, additional layers in order to quickly triage and assign the support request to internal engineers or back to the vendor.
Identify opportunities for innovation, and if we should build internally or revert to the vendor.
Education & Experience
Bachelor Degree
Agile Product Management training
Experience managing a vendor backlog
5-10 years experience
Knowledge & Skills
Strategically focused
Comfortable in adapting
Excellent communication skills, both with vendors and end-users
