At Horizon Services, provides alcohol, drug, and mental health related services to adults and adolescents. We leverage technology to enhance care delivery and improve patient outcomes. We are on the lookout for a skilled EHR Specialist with a strong background in Credible, ready to spearhead the development of custom forms and reports, ensuring our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system operates flawlessly and supports our mission of providing exceptional care.

What will make you successful in this role?

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of custom forms and reports within the Credible EHR system, ensuring they meet clinical needs and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with clinical, compliance and direct support staff to identify requirements for EHR customization, focusing on optimizing patient data collection and reporting.

  • Perform thorough testing of new forms and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinical workflows before full-scale deployment.

  • Offer ongoing support and training to EHR users, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to utilize the system effectively, with an emphasis on newly developed forms and reports.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to form and report functionalities, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical operations.

  • Keep abreast of updates and enhancements to the Credible platform, evaluating and implementing new features to support organizational goals.

  • Ensure that all EHR customizations and data handling processes comply with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations, maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting user feedback and identifying opportunities to enhance the EHR system’s functionality and user experience.

  • Document technical specifications, change logs, and user guides for custom forms and reports, ensuring clear communication and easy reference for end-users and IT staff.

    What else is required?

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with the Credible EHR platform, particularly in form and report development. 

  • Understanding of mental health clinical workflows and documentation requirements. 

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, particularly in data collection and report generation. 

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner. 

  • Experience in conducting user training sessions and creating user-friendly training materials. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of effectively diagnosing and resolving technical issues. 

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and best practices for data security and privacy within EHR systems.
