Training Systems is a fast paced environment seeking a Mid-level Quality Engineer . This mid-level Quality Engineer will be part of a hardware quality team that supports a dynamic manufacturing environment producing multiple defense platform Pilot Training Devices located in Hazelwood , MO . Quality engineers support all phases of the development life-cycle from inception to post-delivery on a variety of defense aircraft training devices.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Hands on Quality Engineering support for Training Devices to include the shop floor, the lab environments and sell off with the customer.
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs (PCA, FCA, APT, etc.).
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Support program and customer meetings with Quality data
Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
Works under general direction.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post - Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (Post Start)
3+ years Quality / AS9100 / Quality Processes experience
3+ years of reading blueprints and working with requirements
3+ years working with RCCA
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous work in the Aviation industry
Experience working projects
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
