Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri .

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position supports the Air Dominance Division under the Commodities Contracting team. This is a Team Lead role that will have the responsibility to coach and mentor teammates, review and analyze metrics to drive performance, collaborate cross functionally for solutions to shortages or requirements definition, and support the manager's strategies for ensuring the team is performing.

  • Issues Requests for Proposals/Quotes, performing proposal fact-finding and Price and Cost Analysis, developing negotiation strategies utilizing supplier cost & pricing data, contract terms and conditions and preparing contractual documents and binding agreements.

  • Manages supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and other key support to programs. In addition, the team will be responsible for driving for cultivating and maintaining the supplier relationship.

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.

  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.

  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management

  • More than 3 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts

  • More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • More than 3 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management

  • More than 3 years of experience and/or training with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.

Summary pay range: $74,800 - $101,200
