Summary:

Tetra Tech's Helena, MT office is currently seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern that is currently enrolled in a college program studying civil or environmental engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with Principal and Project Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers on a variety of environmental remediation, water resources, civil construction projects, and mining projects. Project work will support various offices in the intermountain west including Billings, MT; Bozeman, MT; Boise, ID; and Salt Lake City, UT.

Your Role:
Environmental sampling (air, soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water).
Construction oversight and Construction QA/QC.
Installation of remediation systems.
Environmental data compilation, review, and analysis.
Support project reporting.
Strong problem solving, time management, and verbal communication skills are required.
The position requires travel, typically related to environmental sampling, drilling, and civil construction oversight.


Qualifications:
Current college student studying civil or environmental engineering.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 40lbs.
Ability to travel and perform field work (approx. 50-75% of travel required).
Proficiency with MS Office products including Word and Excel.
A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.


Target salary range: $18.00 / hour to $20.00 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
