Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineering Director to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving sales growth. You will lead a team of Sales Engineers, develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage customer relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of our complex solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of Sales Engineers, providing guidance, support, mentorship, and coaching to maximize their performance and achieve sales targets.

  • Develop and implement strategies to motivate and develop high-performing teams.

  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue.

  • Identify market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform product development and sales initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Engineering, Production, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Project Management and Customer Relationship Management:

  • Manage the sales cycle from initial contact through project completion, ensuring successful solution delivery and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their unique needs and challenges.

  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Technical Services to ensure solutions meet technical requirements and project timelines.

  • Conduct detailed site inspections with customers to identify opportunities for improvement and develop customized solutions.

  • Partner with Sales Engineers to develop compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition.

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, technology trends, and competitor offerings.

  • Possess a strong understanding of the company's products and services, their technical capabilities, and potential applications.

  • Participate in pre-sales activities, providing technical guidance and expertise to Sales Engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in a manufacturing environment (5+ years).

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers, colleagues, and internal teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.

  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and exceeding expectations.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Travel may be required.

Pay Details: $125,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
