Job Summary:

The Commercial Service Electrician provides customer service in the field to install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of electrical systems in commercial settings. These systems include electrical control, wiring, power distribution, and lighting systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses electrical issues through observation, testing and setup as required.

  • Handles the following electrical repairs: testing/repair/replacement and general troubleshooting and/or repair of electrical control, wiring, power distribution, and lighting systems.

  • Performs planned maintenance and inspections as indicated in service agreements.

  • Completes service contracts, quoted service projects and demand service calls as directed.

  • Responsible for updating work orders in an electronic work order system.

  • Develops relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.

  • Participates in an on-call rotation.

  • Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on company service vehicle.

  • Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relatable electrical experience.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial electrical systems including but not limited to wiring, switches, interior lighting, lighting controls, pole lights, outlets, panels, and low voltage circuits.

  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Codes.

  • Ability to read and understand diagrams and blueprints.

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
