Infinity Systems Engineering Senior Aerospace Propulsion Engineer in Hill Air Force Base, Utah

Position Overview

We are seeking Senior-level Aerospace Propulsion Engineers to support Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) programs at Hill AFB (Layton, Utah).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform senior level engineering services

  • Provide technical leadership of aerospace/mechanical engineering services

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Systems engineering experience and/or certification

  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility with technical leadership

  • Professional engineering license desired

  • Design, development and sustainment of propulsion systems for rocket guided weapon systems including

  • Application of thermodynamics, aerodynamics, gas dynamics, structures and pressure vessels

  • Materials and propellant chemistry ranging from subsonic to hypersonic technologies

  • Exhaust systems, engine mounting systems, fuel types, fuel delivery systems, and guidance systems

  • Electric motor and hydraulic driven mechanical componentry

  • Familiarity with manufacturing and test methods required for development, production and sustainment of propulsion systems

  • Ordinance/explosive chemistry, devices/components including stage safing /arming, ignition of rocket motors, initiation of stage separation sequences, release of warhead vehicles

  • Ballistic missile electrical systems including batteries used in flight and ground power systems

  • Chemistries such as Silver Zinc, Thermal, Lead Acid and Lithium    

    Education/Experience  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical, Astronautical or Aerospace Engineering or related field and 10 + years' experience and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training is required to fulfill this position.
