WHAT YOU BRING
BA or BSc required; Hospitality Industry or Consumer Goods workplaces preferred with a focus on large scale operations.
Minimum of 7-year work experience in a high-profile operations role related to events
Proven experience in leading, mentoring, driving and inspiring (extended) teams across locations
Demonstrated experience leading strategic partners and supplier management, ideally at a Fortune 500 company
Proven track record to operationalize business strategies
Excellent understanding of the Event industry and its trends
Proven expertise in project- and transition management
Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, driving and inspiring (extended) teams
Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to influence multiple business partners across all levels of the organization
Competence to articulate sophisticated business concepts in English
Ability to effectively manage time, and individually prioritize tasks of competing priorities
Proficient in MS Office applications, familiarity with Smartsheet a plus

We are looking for a Manager EMEA Event Operations within Workplace, Design and Connectivity (WD+C) at the European Headquarters in Hilversum the Netherlands, to drive innovative and strategic operations for all activities related to virtual, hybrid and live Event Experiences!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will develop and lead the program and team that successfully builds the framework around the EMEA event strategy and consumer experience in EMEA. You are experienced across all fields of event operations for both B-to-B and B-to-C Events and have a proven track record in driving event innovation based on strategy.
As the Manager EMEA WD+C Event Operations, you will bring globally aligned critical initiatives to life in EMEA relevant processes and you thrive to translate the strategic solutions into business recommendations for seamless event experiences and improved efficiency for Nike Inc.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Lead, mentor, drive and encourage a team of event professionals that are dispersed across various locations in EMEA
Optimize the EMEA event infrastructure by crafting and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes
Build communication plans to ensure flawless implementation of event program innovations
Pro-active contribution crafting the future of events influencing geo and global direction with EMEA event requirements
Drive and manage the B-to-B and B-to-C event operating model
Manage department’s financial processes including forecasts and reporting
Manage long-term internal- and external strategic partnerships
Demonstrate the strategic partner platform and manage QBR’s, SLA’s and SOP’s
Drive and manage continuity of (outsourced) resource planning with business partners and independent contractors
Manage long-term internal- and external strategic partnerships for seamless event delivery
Influence and drive strategic decisions based on impact, agility and efficiency on Events with business partners
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Reporting to the Director EMEA WD+C Events, part of the EMEA Events team, you will manage a team of 6 direct reports from across the geography and our external strategic event partners at EHQ.
Supported by the global event team, you will co-develop the EMEA event strategy supported by the EMEA Environment- and Experiences teams. You will collaborate with senior leaders and work closely with cross-functional partners to provide thought leadership, manage business relationships and execute on Nike only event concepts.
