Abbott Senior Supply Chain Manager - Abbott Pharmaceutical in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

SUMMARY

  • To lead and manage the end-to-end supply and demand of VN EPD in an efficient way by monthly build the demand and supply request/plan for a period of coming 28 months which maintain healthy inventory level.

  • To define supply and inventory strategies to optimize product flows, stretching local inventory level and with an efficient supply chain cost.

  • To coordinate and engage cross functions team both local and regional (Ops, RA, QA, Commercial, Finance, Market Assess, sourcing plant) in excellence in execution to ensure product availability, business continuity, avoid out of stock in the market and distress inventory.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the senior manager within the supply team, provide guidance, training and coaching to team.

  • Working closely with Regulatory department to anticipate regulatory changes and challenges such as visa renewal, GMP expiry, variations to evaluate risk & opportunities and define solid mitigation plan to keep business continuity.

  • Lead monthly Demand & Supply meeting and co-lead executive S&OP meetings to ensure an effective output and consensus with Leadership team.

  • Continuously seek for improvement feedback and meeting Global standard of Class A for S&OP processes.

  • Build supply and inventory strategies to provide supply flexibilities to respond demand fluctuation within target inventory level.

  • Build solid partnership with Global planner to have an excellent and proactive communication to manage changes in demand fluctuation, be able to translate regulatory challenges in clear identified risks and opportunities, build solid proactive actions and risk mitigation plan.

  • Monthly build demand and supply request to ensure the replenishment aligned with production plan, avoid out of stock situation, and meet target inventory levels.

  • Ensure supply schedules for imported products and proper shipping documents to complete custom clearance on-time.

  • Lead/monitor/review and revise Demand and Supply Processes, policies, forecasting tools.

  • Be responsible and accountable to meet target of Key Performance Indicators: forecast accuracy of To-Market Sales, Operational Days on Hands, Transportation cost, services level, back orders, sales losses.

  • Be responsible for fresh product shelf life, even for large volume of bridge stock to ensure the remaining shelf-life meeting acceptable shelf life by the market.

  • Be responsible for system update and upload as required by Global standard.

  • Be responsible for escalation process of supply issues and get sufficient support from management or stake holders.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage supply plan with Global APO and order change management process (OCA/OCS)

  • Manage right level of operational days on hand and inventory aging to avoid stock at Risks.

  • Manage shipping clearance within allowed timeframe

MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experiences:

  • Demand & supply planning process

  • S&OP/IBP Processes.

  • Experience in Health Care industry or pharmaceutical distributor

  • Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, teambuilding, and problem-solving skills.

Languages Skills:

  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in English

Computer Skills:

  • Expert in Microsoft Office Powerpoint, Microsoft Office Excel.

  • Forecasting tool/ERP is a plus.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in major of economics, supply chain, foreign trade.

  • Supply Chain Management/ International Business/ Business Administration/ Finance is a plus.
