KEY Personnel Production Supervisor 2nd Shift in Holland, Michigan

One of Holland's leading manufacturer of stamping and fabrications offering a diverse variety of engineered products. Through the latest industry technologies such as laser cutters and robotics.. Ideal candidate would consist of being a floater at Main site. Being moved around a lot, is expected. Flexible with being pulled off one job and moved to another. This candidate would be placed wherever the demand is needed. Could be running a press, inspection, etc.

 

Responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the activities of departments and functions involved in the production process.   Assists in setting policies, controls and manufacturing schedules to fulfill long range commitments and meet overall operational goals and objectives.

*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *

 

  • Responsible for the shop and its contents during the night shift hours;
  • Training of personnel in both machine operation and maintenance of tooling and machines;
  • Responsible for the quality of parts produced on the nightshift and the inspection of those parts;
  • Pull tooling and press set ups when required;
  • Monitor and enforce O.S.H.A. requirements;
  • Understand and incorporate the use of S.P.C.;
  • Coordinate the activities of the production operators assigned to the night shift;
  • Coordinate and follow up with the Day shift supervisor to assure completion of the production schedule;
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards and housekeeping practices;
  • Recommend the hiring and releasing of production personnel as required to maintain maximum productivity          for the organization'
  • Perform regular performance appraisals with shift members based on goals and objectives;
  • Assure that machinery and equipment are proper maintained for efficient production;
  • Operates variety of power and non-power hand tools;
  • Be willing and able to step in and complete the responsibility of any team member as needed to assure                   completion of task

     

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. 
  2. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. 
  3. Perform other duties as assigned. 
  4. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
