Business Intelligence Solution Architect

Overview

  • The BI Architect will play a key role in developing and leading the BI product platforms such as SAP Business Objects v.4.3, Crystal Reports v.2020, Salesforce Tableau v.2022, AWS Quicksight, Google Analytics v.4, Alteryx v.2021.

  • This position will be responsible for formulating, preparing, and implementing product initiatives and action plans as well as monitoring and handling the performance of assigned products throughout the product life cycle.

  • This individual will identify, prioritize, and design new products or enhancements in support of the Product Value Proposition and Guardian’s bold growth goals.

  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with Business clients, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, and IT.

You Will:

  • Proactive analysis of BI infrastructures capacity and performance

  • System maintenance, backups, hardware and software upgrades and BI infrastructures performance tuning.

  • Creating and maintaining the Application Usage Reports for Management, Business & Administrators.

  • Responsible for installations of Service Packages/Patching with the new feature’s additions and testing of all BI environments.

  • Developing automated solutions to reduce/retire manual activity overhead for the operational teams.

  • Conduct Reports performance tuning and Production Support

  • Maintain user assess and unmet customer needs to identify areas of opportunity for differentiated product or service enhancements to meet customer expectations and achieve growth for Guardian.

  • Translate consumer insights into useful strategies and initiatives.

  • Implement programs and initiatives in support of improving satisfaction with Guardian for all key constituents.

  • Ensure appropriate product training and positioning is developed to educate business and other collaborators.

BI Tools /SME

  • In partnership with Business groups, conduct PoC and PoE to evaluate the effectiveness of product features and performance.

  • Tackle service, systems and claim issues and work with our partners to resolve.

  • Work with competitive intelligence to perform regular and comprehensive competitive analysis, using all available data sources.

  • Help drives successful positioning of the product set in various communication, presentation, education and training capacities

You Have:

  • Must have 6 to 7 years of experience with Salesforce Tableau technology, SQL, Hadoop Data Lake Technology.

  • Solid experience in SAP Business Objects & Crystal Reports

  • Must have 2+ years of experience in Google Analytics

  • Proficient in analyzing data and reporting requirements and underlying database structures.

  • Solid command of Tableau RESTFULL API and RESTFULL Web Services

  • Excellent hands-on proficiency with AIX, shell scripting, understanding and monitoring Windows servers.

  • Experience in using data mart

  • Must be customer – focused and strategically maintain relationships and expectations with Business and all other team members.

  • Superb communication skills, with shown success achieving results through others.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure; ability to bring clarity to ideas that may appear unclear or ambiguous in concept.

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and communicate information.

  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to produce clear supporting documents in Power Point, Excel etc.

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.

  • Cultivates a high level of partnership and collaboration between teams, across departments.

  • Understands how to communicate effectively; articulates information is a manner that is easily understood.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or business equivalent experience required.

  • At least 7 years of experience in insurance industry and deep experience in product set

Salary Range

$91,260.00 - $149,925.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
