Job Summary

CN is seeking an Asset Manager for its Real Estate Department. This position, located in Homewood, IL, is responsible for the day to day administration of the real estate portfolio for the US

Main Responsibilities

· Act as the primary contact with tenants in the US

· Prepare real estate legal contract documentation for leases and sales

· Administer the lease portfolio, including new, renewals, rent reviews, assignments, cancellations and environmental

· Review site plans, encumbrances, surveys and titles as well as coordinate land sale closings with lawyers

· Complete all related data administration in Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) and the ability to generate system reports

· Provide financial analysis for contract renewals to maximize company free cash flow revenues and contributions

· Review and process all financial expenses related to the US Real Estate portfolio

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires occasional travel (5%) in the US. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress

Requirements

Experience

Real Estate

· Between 3 to 5 years of real estate contract management experience

Experience in a corporate real estate environment with a significant land portfolio or real estate law firm*

*Any experience for these above would be considered as an asset

Education/Certification/Designation

· Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration or related experience

Technical Skills/Knowledge

· Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities

· Establish relations at various levels of internal and external stakeholders

· Knowledge of real estate contract law, practices and transportation regulations

· Knowledge of SAP, MapGuide (GIS), Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
