What's the role:

Bloomberg is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our APAC Supply Chain Team. This individual will be part of an exciting and dynamic team supporting our logistic activities and part of the trade compliance activities in the APAC region. This role, based in Hong Kong Office, will be our Subject Matter Expert for shipping & logistics, and last mile delivery. The logistics function collaborates across all supply chain functions to provide excellent service and value to our Business Partners.

We'll trust you to:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the company’s logistics operations, ensuring with organization goals and objectives

• Manage our logistics service providers to make sure satisfactory service level to support markets and business team’s needs

• Lead the APAC logistics counterpart to identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance logistics operations and streamline workflows

• Analyse the logistics cost spending, identify, and implement cost saving initiatives in coordination with different function lead

• Rate management on freight cost and spending for the APAC region. Manage the freight spending, ensure the right invoice was integrated into system for payment

• Communicate & escalate potential delays in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties and management and as escalation contact for APAC logistics for both internal and external parties

• Explore sustainability opportunities in our logistics operations

• Develop and maintain strong customer service to our external clients, our internal clients, and our stakeholders

You'll need to have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in international logistics/transportation or freight forwarding

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, or equivalent technical qualification

• Solid experience in managing freight forwarding service providers

• Hands-on experience with import/export operations

• Demonstrate improvement results by streamlining operational and business processes

• Analytical mindset, proven ability to manage the business with data driven analysis

• Experience in managing stakeholders remotely from regional prospective on day-to-day operations to project initiatives

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Experience with ERP system

• Proficient use of MS Excel & PowerPoint

We'd love to see:

• Previous experience in import/export of IT or electronics equipment in APAC region

• Previous experience in RFP/RFQ on freight service

• Working experience of SAP

• Working knowledge or experience on trade compliance, import/export regulation or customs rules in APAC
