Morgan Stanley Regional Human Resources Business Partner, AWM in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Regional Human Resources Business Partner, to support the Asia Wealth Management Department within Morgan Stanley. In this role, reporting to the Regional Lead HR Business Partner, will provide day-to-day support and strategic advice to stakeholders across the entire employee life cycle, including but not limited to compensation processes, employee relations, performance evaluation, talent management and diversity & inclusion initiatives.

The individual will also support Firm-wide processes such as year-end compensation review, promotions and engagement survey. This is achieved through a high degree of collaboration within the HR Business Partner team and strong partnership with other Human Resources product areas such as Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HR Analytics, Employee Relations, HR Solutions etc.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Actively collaborate within the Human Resources organization and directly with business stakeholders to support HR deliverables. • Provide support and counsel across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to termination, including and not limited to employee relations issues, performance evaluation, talent management, compensation processes, and promotion reviews. • Partner with Employee Relations and Employment Legal on the resolution of employee relations matters and performance management issues, provide coaching, counseling and conflict resolution. • Partner with HR product teams locally and globally on various HR initiatives in support of the division. • Partner with BU to embed the right culture, inclusive leadership, and the Firm’s core values • Engage, influence and drive BU decisions using enhanced analytic and reporting tools with measurable outcomes • Regularly review PWM’s HR policies, processes and remuneration system to ensure they satisfy regulatory requirements per the HKMA’s Supervisory Guidelines. • Work with Internal Audit on the annual independent review of remuneration practices. • Arrange and act as Minute Taker, where relevant, for various MSBAL Governance Committee meetings.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking, influencing and analytical skills. • Proven ability and resourcefulness working in a fast paced, matrixed and high-volume environment • Possess a commercial and advisory mindset, based on a foundation of solid data analysis • Proactive and enthusiastic to share ideas and solutions on HR initiatives and client challenges. • Thorough attention to detail and processes • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills with conscientious work ethic • Computer literacy: strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.) preferred • Bachelors Degree in any discipline • 7 years of relevant professional experience; experience in an HR generalist function preferred. • Prior HRBP experience in covering Private Wealth Management and/or within an HKMA-regulated environment an advantage • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) language skills an advantage
