Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the University of Hawaii (UH) Information Technology Services, located in Oahu, Hawaii.

Telework (from employees residence city and state) may be permissible subject to review and approval by Principal Investigator and RCUH. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.

MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $4,888 - $6,500/Mon.

DUTIES: Provides project coordination and administration for the University of Hawaii Broadband Office (UHBO) in support of federal and state grants managed by the UH VP for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. Responsible for the management of all fiscal, human resource, travel and recording keeping of the project transactions. Responsible for all facets of program management and administrative support for the UHBO and related grant initiatives. Manages the UHBO team meeting and outreach calendar(s). Assists in overall UHBO project coordination and communication through work on project planning, creation of project reports and presentations and maintaining social media and web presence. Serves as primary planning coordinator for UHBO related meetings and events and assists the UH Chief Information Officer/VP for Information Technology group with similar event support activities.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

Bachelors Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university.

EXPERIENCE

One to three (1-3) years of experience in research administration with responsibility for operations related to the management of programs. Includes at least one (1) year of work experience in a higher education institution.

Demonstrated experience in project administration, including budget projections. Demonstrated experience using database management and spreadsheet software.

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient knowledge in

the principles, practices and techniques in project planning, budgeting and administrative support. Understanding of the principles, practices, and techniques in event planning. Understanding of the principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with project planning and administrative support.

ABILITIES and SKILLS

Proficient ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range of problems that may commonly occur in the review of materials pertaining to administrative procedures and/or project coordination. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, proficiency in written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations. Ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations. Ability to proofread with business communication skills. Ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing and spreadsheet-desktop software as well as cloud based systems, such as Google documents, sheets and calendars. Ability to maintain project informational forums via websites, Google documents, and social media communications. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a wide range of tasks and personnel associated with a large, multi-year federal grant. Must possess a valid drivers license (and if use of personal vehicle on the job is required, must also have valid personal drivers insurance equivalent to Hawaiis No-Fault Drivers I surance) and maintain throughout the duration of employment.

Ability to effectively conduct work remotely (e.g., telework) as applicable. Post Offer/Employment Condition: Must be able to pass a post offer criminal background check. Must be able to complete the UH Title IX training within twelve (12) months from date of hire. Must be able to complete the UH Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) within two (2) weeks from date of hire, and re-certify every twelve (12) months.
