Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Horsham, Pennsylvania

Description Robert Half is actively looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to add to the growing team at a company in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Mgt industry. The day-to-day operations of this role include, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a permanent role in the Warrington, Pennsylvania, area.

Your responsibilities

  • Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

  • Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts

  • Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

  • Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports

  • Post financial information to journals and ledgers

  • Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

  • Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed

  • Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects Requirements - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

  • 3+ years of accounting experience required

  • Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

  • Ability to multitask effectively

  • Payable Invoices experience preferred

  • Practical knowledge of AMSI

  • Form 1099 experience

  • General familiarity with Billing Collection

  • IRS W-9 Forms experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of billing

  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Adeptness in Receivables processing

  • Supplies Inventory experience highly preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
