To be successful in this role, you must have strong knowledge of general accounting principles and the ability to operate in a large team within a challenging and fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Manufacturing Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis.Key Job Responsibilities Externally:Support period close process including preparation of journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial resultsPerform detailed account reconciliations and analysis for balance sheet and PandL accounts ensuring accuracy and consistencyEnsure compliance with IFRS and parent company accounting and reporting standardsAssist manager with planning, delegation, and review of staff's workAssist manager with the documentation of work processes including recommendations for improvementsAnalyze, interpret, and report financial and operating data for managementAssume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned to group Job RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business-related field preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.Ideal candidate will possess:4+ years of hands-on accounting experienceCPA is a plusKnowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plusOracle experience is a plusStrong Excel skillsAbility to work independently and participate as a team player in a cross-functional environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong analytical, problem solving and accounting skillsAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, multi-tasking environmentPhysical Demands:The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
