Position Description

This position is located in Houston and offers a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday and Friday working remotely). Job Duties:

  • Review invoice details for accuracy.

  • Process utilities, expense reports, payment requests and vendor invoices in Lawson.

  • Work with buyers/project management/procurement to resolve PO issues.

  • Work with external/internal vendors to resolve issues on unpaid invoices.

  • Work with vendor maintenance as needed to add vendor remits.

  • Analyze PO invoices and match invoice lines to Material PO lines.

  • Ability to determine PO balances and work with buyer as needed to add funds or have material received in Lawson.

  • Audit/Review all invoices keyed into Lawson for accuracy before they are released for payment.

  • Run payment cycles including cutting checks/ACH/MasterCard payments.

  • Review payments over $500k for accuracy and retrieve second signatures on checks.

  • Meet month end/year end deadlines

  • Review and process 1099’s and file with IRS. Work B notices.

    Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or any closely related discipline OR 3-5 years of related work experience.

  • Proficient with business systems: Lawson, Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word)

  • Ability to follow Accounts Payable procedures and guidelines which include our SOX controls.

  • High level of detail skills used to research/analyze data and troubleshoot issues through to resolution.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changes as determined by upper management.

  • Some overtime may be required during month/year end or when processing 1099s.

  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedule, focus attention on details, and follow rules.

  • Ability to maintain high quality of work with little direct supervision.
