Description Become an imperative part of a steadily developing team at a thriving company as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This long-term contract / temporary to hire position is offered through Robert Half. The Accounts Payable Clerk will process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. Based out of the Houston, Texas area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.

How you will make an impact

• Fullfill full-cycle A/P

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

• Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

• Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

• Execute additional tasks as needed

• Provide customer service to internal business partners

• Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required Requirements

• 3 Way Matching experience

• Proven knowledge of month end closings

• Microsoft Excel experience (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) Required.

• General familiarity with account reconciliation

• Well-founded grasp of Vendor Statements

• Comprehensive knowledge of Sage Intacct- required

• Form 1099 experience highly desired

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• Excellent attention to detail
