Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the heart of Houston, Texas for a Division Controller. This role functions within the financial operations sector, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting, with a significant emphasis on job costing, percent of completion revenue recognition, and work in progress scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the finance team to ensure smooth running of all financial processes

• Oversee the entire consolidation process and ensure the correct application of GAAP

• Conduct job costing and prepare percent of completion revenue recognition reports

• Oversee work-in-progress scheduling

• Provide analytical support for budgeting and financial forecasting initiatives

• Develop internal control guidelines and ensure financial obligations comply with all financial regulatory requirements

• Optimize processes and manage systems that support reporting, budgeting, and planning

• Prepare financial statements and report on key metrics to senior management

• Collaborate with operational teams and executives to identify growth and productivity opportunities Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar capacity

• Demonstrated proficiency in GAAP Accounting

• Experience in Construction Accounting is essential

• Familiarity with the percentage (%) of completion method in accounting

• Must have experience in Controllership and Consolidations

• Proven ability to handle Financial Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)

• Experience handling accounting for Construction Projects is required

• Experience in System Implementation is a significant plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
