About The Role:

Responsible for overall management of the servicing of multiple portfolios of commercial mortgage loans using fundamental concepts, practices and procedures associated with commercial real estate finance.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of assigned loan portfolios.

  • Serve as a primary contact and as a liaison between commercial lenders, borrowers, attorneys, construction consultants, and other third parties.

  • Provide overall customer service to lenders and borrowers.

  • Review and/or prepare recommendations for lender consent such as future funding disbursements, reserve draws, leases, cash management waterfalls, payoffs, and several other real estate related matters.

  • Review and interpret loan documents and monitor compliance with loan servicing agreements.

  • Provide oversight of all reports that are distributed to the lender(s) related to the surveillance of the assigned loan portfolio.

  • Conduct analysis of property and guarantor financial statements and accurately calculate covenants for lender reporting.

  • Coordinate with groups on matters related to tax and insurance monitoring, loan set up, lender remittances, wire disbursements, borrower collections etc.

  • Provide supervision to employees. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Lead by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5 years industry experience; or 7-to-10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the commercial loan servicing industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate advanced financial ratios and analyze overall portfolio performance.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products including: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Experienced in using loan servicing database system (McCracken Strategy preferred).

  • Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and timelines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project timelines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
