Job overview and responsibilities
Product Owner - IT owns all aspects of the product/application in Corporate Safety Technology portfolio. This role owns the vision, create roadmaps working with business partners, and is responsible for all activities from inception to delivery. A key strategist in developing functionality, based on full understanding of specific business functions, taking into account all of the associated business & technical dependencies involved. Excellent communicator with outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail in order to collaborate with business users, technology teams and leadership in an Agile environment. Drives agile development & testing teams by creating detailed requirements in the form of user stories. High-level knowledge of the system design architecture to facilitate discussions needed for systematic updates to technical components.
Works with business partners and translates high level business requirements into detailed requirements (user stories) to be consumed by development pods in each sprint, while ensuring stories and features are added iteratively to the product to add overall value
Manages a story backlog to ensure readiness of user stories for the upcoming sprint and Creates acceptance criteria that is clear, concise and actionable
Contributes to overall definition of strategy and scope, including working with business stakeholders to understand ‘why’ we are working on something before development begins
Works with User Experience (UX) analysts to ensure prototypes convey story intent
Works with Dev and QA to ensure products developed fulfill the requirement accurately
Provide guildance to junior team members on the quality of requirements and user stories
Identifies opportunities for improvement across product, process and team
Analyzes data to ensure features are aligned with product goals/objectives and delivering the most business value
Provide project support during release and implementation periods
Ensure projects are completed ontime and within budget

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant filed is required
4-5 years digital experience required
2-3 Agile/Scrum experience preferred
2-3 years in business analyst role preferred
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of:
SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standards
Agile & Scrum Knowledge
Business/System requirements
DevOps Process
Airline Operations
High-level understanding of Cloud Computing
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization
Able to Work with distributed teams (on shore and off)
Ability to understand, communicate and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and interactions
Strong problem-solving, listening, written and verbal communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
Prior Experience with airlines and an understanding of how United Operations work.
Deep knowledge TFS/ADO or related tools.
Prior exposure to Power App and Power Automate platform
