Job Title: Shipping / Receiving Clerk

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage our inbound and outbound shipments. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving operations and be certified or willing to learn to operate forklifts and man lifts.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality.

  • Prepare items for shipping, including boxing items, creating shipping labels, and maintaining detailed records of outgoing shipments.

  • Manage inventory by organizing stock in the warehouse and maintaining accurate records.

  • Process returned goods, documenting damages and discrepancies, and returning merchandise to stock.

  • Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transport of goods.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.

  • Report any damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies.

  • Perform regular cycle counts of inventory.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in inventory, shipping, and receiving operations.

  • Forklift and material handling skills.

  • Proficiency in packaging and data entry.

  • Strong inventory control and cycle counting abilities.

  • Good computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent physical condition and coordination.

  • Attention to detail.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm. The warehouse environment requires operating forklifts and man lifts, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. Dress code aligns with safety guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50
