Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the heart of Houston, Texas. This role is situated within the industry of accounting and finance, primarily focusing on tasks related to maintaining and analyzing financial records. The selected candidate will be tasked with various responsibilities, from managing accounts payable to performing bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

•Managing and handling payable accounts

• Initializing vendors in the system and validating bank particulars

• Supervising weekly payout administration and bank records

• Processing payroll summaries and coding for General Ledger and job cost allocation

• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Generating project-based cost reports

• Supervising the management of expense paybacks

• Monitoring and managing contractor hourly logs

• Reviewing Contractor Foreman reports for accurate accounting correlation.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated skills in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close operations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
