System One Automation Controls Engineer, AL in Huntsville, Alabama

SUMMARY

As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to optimize our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems, enhance efficiency, and improve overall productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, program, and implement control systems for various automated equipment and processes.

  • Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and technicians to develop comprehensive automation solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and debug control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical support for automation-related projects.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation technology to propose innovative solutions.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to control systems and automation processes.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability to successfully perform the job.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for industrial applications.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and industrial communication protocols.

  • Strong knowledge of control system design, instrumentation, and process control.

  • Familiarity with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information effectively.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support and project implementation.
