Overview

Axient is seeking a Software Engineer to provide technical support for our customer in Huntsville, AL .

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluate the software of multiple systems for adherence to requirements and sound design practices.

• Monitor the software development activities and report anomalies, risk areas, and provide suggestions for corrective action.

• Review software development documentation to assess adherence to program technical requirements.

• Assess development schedules to evaluate reasonableness and approach.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be have / be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.

• Knowledge of agile software development in support of DoD programs is required.

• Knowledge and experience in software design, development, test, and project management is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience. (additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)

• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, software best practices, agile development, and project management of missile systems development is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of Army radars / weapon systems is highly desirable.

• Frequent travel (25%) to contractor and test sites is required
