Job Description

We’re looking for a transformational technical leader with expertise and passion for solving difficult problems in Oracle Cloud Interface (OCI). As an Architect, you will work closely at the forefront of technology trends, applying a multi-disciplinary approach and possessing an in-depth understanding of new cloud technologies. The primary focus of this role will be using modern engineering practices to architect and build distributed, reliable, maintainable cloud-based solutions. Broad knowledge of security, networking, CICD, and cloud-native technologies is required. You must have communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to effectively communicate with internal team and customers, succinctly articulate business impacts, translate technical information into layperson and business terms, concisely ‘storyboard' complex problems, solutions, and approaches in a manner appropriate for executives, develop frameworks, templates, and high-quality pragmatic deliverables that can be carried forth and executed by operation teams.

As a member of the SaaS engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.

Suggest and justify product directions within approved directions. Define responsibilities for new projects and specifies, designs and develops

according to those specifications.

Participate in deeply technical architectural discussions with customers, partners, and Oracle internal team to ensure solutions are crafted for successful deployment in the cloud.

Serve as a final escalation point to customer technical issues when technical architectural complexity warrants.

Communicate technical concepts with audiences of varying technical knowledge or business insight.Assemble and share best-practice knowledge within the team.

He/she is expected to have extensive cloud solutions & problem resolution skills to help our customers at different stages of their Cloud Journey,

including advisory aligned with Oracle’s best practices and service delivery standards.

The Cloud Architect is expected to assess and analyse customers cloud infrastructure needs to make sure that Oracle solutions meets the customer’s objectives.

Providing technical guidance on the transition from on-premise to Oracle cloud as well as provide advice and solutions to customer’s hybrid cloud solutions.

Desired Skills & Experience:


Overall good knowledge of Oracles private, hybrid and public cloud solutions.

Experiences in multi-cloud deployment.

Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture

Strong knowledge of physical and SDN network technologies.

Experiences in building, configuring, managing, and monitoring networking and IP infrastructure in major cloud provider (OCI, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.).

· Awareness and knowledge of networking and latency considerations for different workloads.

Ability to architect for high availability, fail-over & disaster recovery in public or hybrid cloud environments.

Good automation process and technology experience around DevOps, GitOps, AI/ML, microservices

· Strong understanding of cloud security.

· Good knowledge of relevant open-source cloud technologies

Be familiar with VMW, KVM, AWS, Azure, SoftLayer and OpenStack.

Experience in develops, configurable, deploys and maintains cloud security and systems in support of information security operations.

Knowledge of Cloud native design solutions

· Good Understanding of Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware and PaaS services

· Understanding of Applications landscape and SaaS Solutions

· Enterprise Design/Architecture Framework experience/certification

· A good command of English to collaborate with regional and global teams.
