IFF is a global leader in food, beverage, scent, home and personal care. We are now seeking a highly motivated and result-driven individual to join our India Shared Service Center team as Tax Specialist – US Tax.

Your Focus

As a part of US Tax Team based out of Hyderabad, you will be involved with processing of data, preparation of sales tax returns, and support of the various US and Canadian Indirect Tax compliance activities as described below.

The role will report to the US Indirect Tax Manager (located in the US).

How you will contribute

US Indirect Tax Compliance

• Consolidate and validate US and Canadian Sales and Use Tax data.

• Prepare and review US and Canadian (GST/HST/QST) sales and use tax returns and prepare Tax payment worksheets.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations of tax payments and accruals with local financials.

• File Annual Reports.

• Responsible for tracking all Tax Exemption Certificates.

• Research US and Canadian State and Local indirect tax controversies; summarize and communicate findings to Management.

• Participate in US and Canadian State and Local indirect tax audits and be involved in drafting of the responses to inquiries from the tax authorities.

• Working with the US team to ensure timely delivery of workpapers.

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful

• Post Graduation or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or any other relevant discipline

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in US indirect tax

• Ability to develop effective work relationships with business stakeholders

• Good knowledge of MS office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Good Communication Skills

• Strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, and proficiency in the use of tax software

• Capability to research and understand principles of U.S. tax law

• Demonstrated the ability of driving results

• Ability to work modified/flexible hours.
