Make a Difference

The Director of Behavioral Health – Residential, oversees a large team providing mental health services inside a locked residential facility located on the eastside of Indianapolis. The Director participates in the development of mission and strategic plan for the care components of behavioral health services and sets annual program objectives related to the residential facility. This position assures adequate and appropriate staffing, proper operation of assigned facilities, compliance with all regulatory, product line and Network performance standards, achievement of clinical and financial targets, and effectively interfaces with Network and community entities.

This role is onsite at Lutheran and Child and Family Services, which works in a partnership with Community Health Network.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

· Applicants are effective at building, motivating, and leading high performing teams.

· Applicants should be able to analyze data involving many variables to make decisions in a timely manner.

· 3 (three) years minimum experience in relevant administrative leadership is required.

· 3 (three) years minimum experience in clinical mental health / CD / behavioral health field is required.

· Leadership experience over a large staff is strongly preferred.

· Experience in a residential facility is strongly preferred.

· Post-graduate level degree (i.e., Master’s level or above) from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health field is required.

· Must be licensed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA). For example, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

· Computer and data analysis skills sufficient to monitor and ensure staff compliance with the clinical and operational requirements of the assigned area.

· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

· Able to work independently and collaboratively with other areas of the Network.
