BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Surgery Veterinary Technician (RVT Required).

Pay: $27.00 - $50.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system .

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential

We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Radiology, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment.

As a Surgery Technician , you will:

• You prepare patients for surgery.

• You safely restrain patients for procedures.  

• You place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins.  

• You perform phlebotomy.  

• You prepare slides for cytology.  

• You proficiently perform digital radiographs.  

• You monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated.  

• You will perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.  

• You have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.

• You have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
