Citigroup Applications Development Technical Lead Analyst in Irving, Texas

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Technical Lead Analyst for its Irving, TX location.

Duties: Design, develop, and maintain applications with Ab Initio, Spark/Scala, and Python/Pyspark languages for constructing and optimizing existing ETL, Data Lake, and data pipeline architecture. Develop data movement patterns, guidelines, and methods to manage data assets across the data lifecycle, from creation / acquisition through archival and purge. Create best practices and standards for metadata driven re-usable architectural frameworks. Provide leadership to the Application Development Team to deliver best ETL/Data Ingestion solutions in Hadoop or in traditional data warehouse technologies. Lead, task manage, and mentor developers to create effective designs and code in alignment with ETL architecture specifications. Partner with Business & Technology project teams to develop ETL, data integration, and metadata strategies relating business goals and use cases. Facilitate the ingestion of data from multiple platforms into big data for analytics and business insights. Enforce best practices in service request management, change request management, and incident management by using standard tools within the Company. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policy.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as a Developer, Technical Consultant, or in a related occupation. Five (5) years of experience must include: Managing application development and ensuring adherence to industry standard SDLC guidelines; Designing, developing, and implementing code using technologies including Ab Initio, Unix, SQL, and Teradata to meet business requirements; Designing and using modern architecture principles, technologies, data structures, and algorithms to build software for Large Scale Enterprise Level Application Systems; Coaching and mentoring developers on proper use of technologies and tools; & Performing in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to resolve high-impact problems/projects. 40 hrs./wk.
