We are seeking an adept, curious, and seasoned Manager with expertise in Machine Learning to lead our dynamic team of Machine Learning Engineers. The chosen candidate will head a group of 5+ skilled Machine Learning and Data Scientists, orchestrating the application of AI and Machine Learning to our Egencia products and ecosystem.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance), the Manager will grasp the intricacies of their priorities, objectives, and requisites, steering the team towards alignment. This pivotal role calls for substantial experience in navigating intricate business conundrums alongside internal teams.

The role mandates impeccable communication, adept presentation skills, a knack for navigating uncertainty, and the capacity to innovate and troubleshoot.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Collaborate closely with Product and other stakeholders to decipher business challenges and proactively unearth Machine Learning solutions.

• Play an instrumental role in shaping and driving the roadmap for recommendations, encompassing prioritization strategies.

• Spearhead a talented cohort of 5+ Machine Learning Scientists, propelling the development of models that elevate Egencia's product suite and enhance service delivery.

• Remain abreast of the latest developments in Machine Learning, AI, and related domains, assuring the perpetually current relevance of our outputs.

• Provide technical mentorship to the team while also offering strategic insights to leadership when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

• A track record of 5+ years as a Data Scientist within a corporate setting; experience in management is considered a valuable asset.

• Proficiency in the tenets and techniques of machine learning.

• Demonstrable history of conceiving and overseeing projects that pivot around data.

• Skill in adapting communication styles to cater to diverse teams and audiences.

• A potent blend of assertiveness and team camaraderie.
