Large utility is looking for a EPC Project Manager in Jackson, MI. The EPC Project Manager oversees small to medium projects within the Renewable Interconnection program, ensuring timely execution, quality control, and adherence to budget while effectively communicating with stakeholders and mitigating project risks. responsibilities:

  • Support Project Management for Electric Distribution within the Renewable Interconnection program, managing projects of varying complexity.

  • Plan, implement, ensure quality control, report status, and close small to medium projects within the Renewable Interconnection program.

  • Execute the Project Lifecycle Process (PLP), including plan preparation, schedule planning, and other project management deliverables, meeting agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

  • Prepare financial forecasts and reconcile project expenditures.

  • Develop and manage overall project execution plans and metric tracking.

  • Create high-level project schedules using Microsoft Project, track schedule progress, and communicate schedules to the project team.

  • Communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and outside agencies.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Project Management Institute PM knowledge areas, including Integration, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Resource, Communications, Risk, Procurement, and Stakeholder Management.

  • Tactical and strategic problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines and constraints.

  • Experience working within a Project Lifecycle Processes (PLP) framework.

  • Experience managing Electric Distribution HVD and LVD lines and substations is highly desired.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Applied Engineering or relevant field required.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred but not required.
