Job Description:

This job is responsible for managing complex to high risk cross-functional and/or inter-departmental programs or projects for Line of Business products, processes, functions, and employee readiness. Key responsibilities include partnering with the business to develop a plan to sustain change, evaluate current methods, and drive strategies to implement changes/improvements. Job expectations include serving as the primary point of contact to department managers for critical change initiatives, using tools to document program performance, and influencing stakeholders to make strategic changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines responsibilities and accountabilities for key project roles and oversees the execution of defined programs and/or project tasks through tracking of deliverables and their statuses, developing project plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators

  • Leads the adoption and sustainment of change initiatives and assesses adoption risks

  • Leads remediation requirements documentation efforts based on identified gaps and controls needed for sustained performance

  • Leads and plans programs and projects using appropriate tools and techniques, including Technology platforms used by client facing employees, change management tools, and risk and issue management tools to ensure efficient and effective project completion

  • Develops, maintains, and reports on an overall integrated delivery plan, raising any risks, developing a mitigation plan, and escalating issues appropriately to respective stakeholders

Line of Business Description:

This position is within the AML Platform Management and Transformation team in Global Credit, AML, and Onboarding Operations, which is central to the delivery of the AML Regulatory book of work. This position will require you to play a key role in the reduction of risk and issues facing the program, while driving organizational/program compliance and operational excellence. On a daily basis, the candidate filling this role will engage with the Front-Line Units, Global Operations, Global Financial Crimes, Corporate Audit and Technology partners to analyze existing and emerging/potential issues, understand infrastructure models, understand compliance requirements, have the ability to propose meaningful and sustainable solutions, and own/execute action plans through resolution. This includes preparing implementation and sustainability evidence in conjunction with issue owners, 2nd and 3rd line control partners. We are looking for a highly motivated individual that enjoys working in a complex and fast paced program/environment.

The Team:

The AML Platform Management and Transformation team is responsible for a number of technical delivery-based activities that co-ordinate technical solutions and outcomes to satisfy AML Operational, Business and Financial Crimes requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and understand/manage issues and expectations

  • Document business requirements and transition to technology team where technical updates are required to resolve action plans/steps

  • Facilitate reviews of business requirements with stakeholders for approval and signoff

  • Identifies risks and dependencies that quantifies the impact it has on the business/technology, and what controls are to be used to manage risk

  • Support technology partners throughout requirement development, testing, implementation and sustainability

Requirements:

  • A very strong understanding of risk management, and the inputs to the complexity and severity of issues, including management of issues to resolution

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the financial regulatory environment and the associated complexities

  • Understanding of data ownership. The orchestration of the creation, maintenance, and evolution of data-driven products, bridging the gap between business needs and technical capabilities

  • Understanding of key disciplines within the firm as it relates to Change Management, Data Governance, Operations, FLUs and Technology, and their relationships to issues found

  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, business partners and senior leaders/executives

  • Investigative mindset with a passion for problem solving

  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skill sets enabling positive outcomes to complex issues

  • Confidence to be able to escalate effectively and timely to problems as they arise

  • A will to improve the status quo, challenge current processes and look for process improvements within issue management
