CRE ANALYST II:

The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Analyst 2 is part of the CRE Emerging Talent program in the CRE line of business. The purpose of the program is to develop future CRE Associates with multi-client, multi-industry and multi-deal structure knowledge of the Commercial Real Estate industry. Program Analysts spend a minimum of two years building strong understanding of the market, credit and products, systems and tools and relationship management skills. The CRE Analyst 2 builds on underwriting fundamentals to include financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, on-going portfolio maintenance activities and client relationship support. The Analyst collaborates with Relationship Managers to identify credit worthy projects within targeted markets and assists with the prioritization of relationship calling strategies. Supplements analysis with research and evaluations from a wide variety of sources to develop an assessment of client, competitor, property segment, market and industry risks and trends. In the program, the Analyst will cross-train in the identified CRE verticals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Project Analysis: Financial modeling and analysis, Project proposal, analysis and screening documents, and project due diligence.

  2. Business Development: Prospecting, industry-specific and market research, and special projects that facilitates proactive identification and analysis of opportunities.

  3. Sales Disciplines: Preparing pitch books, pre-call planning, sales pipeline review and management, marketing material development, and sales tools support, all used to effectively track and drive activities forward.

  4. Client support: Attend client calls and meetings and supports the client planning end-to-end process, building on stronger executive presence and confidence in client interactions.

  5. Works with PM Associates and Portfolio Managers in the evaluation and underwriting of new opportunities.

  6. May work with PM Associates and Portfolio Managers in completing performance and monitoring activity for an assigned portfolio to include overall portfolio management and required risk monitoring activity.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  2. 1-2 years' experience in a Banking Development program with a Commercial Real Estate track or other combined Commercial Real Estate experience.

  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  4. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  6. Knowledge of credit principles.

  7. Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.

  8. Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Masters in Real Estate or combined Commercial Real Estate experience through internships or other experiences; or an equivalent combination of educational and experience or other related advanced degree.

  2. Foundational knowledge of ARGUS Enterprise software and use of 3rd party Real Estate Data Sources (CoStar, REIS, Axiometrics)

CRE ASSOCIATE:

The CRE Sales Associate 1 has a strong understanding of the Commercial Real Estate market, credit and products and facilitates proactive identification and analysis of opportunities – exhibiting creativity around idea generation. Takes ownership of projects in coordination with assigned Relationship Managers and mentors the CRE Analyst 1 and 2’s in the CRE Emerging Talent program. The Associate collaborates with Relationship Managers to identify credit worthy projects within targeted markets and assists with the prioritization of relationship calling strategies. Supplements analysis with research and evaluations from a wide variety of sources to develop an assessment of client, competitor, property segment, market and industry risks and trends. The Sales Associate 1 may be assigned to a selected Relationship Manager(s) and may also partner closely with a Portfolio Management team to provide assistance with the ongoing portfolio maintenance activities and client relationship support of certain relationships or portfolios.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Analysis: Draft deal reviews or information summaries created by Development Analysts or Credit Delivery Analysts and conducts preliminary discussions with credit officer(s).

  2. Business Development: Leverages prospecting databases and marketing materials to identify and proactively pursue opportunities with increasingly less oversight from assigned RM

  3. Sales Disciplines: Ownership of pre-call planning strategies for selected clients and/or RMs, leverages sales tools to effectively demonstrate solutions and products to CRE clients

  4. Client Support: Attends client calls and meetings, handles service issues and resolves problems, shares idea and solutions.

  5. Support and mentorship of CRE Analysts and Associates.
