The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Multimedia team is dedicated to crafting compelling content that serves as a catalyst for spreading awareness, amplifying the organization's mission, and showcasing its programs and services. Our team maintains a comprehensive archive of WWP's visual assets primarily used by the Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) team. The team utilizes creativity and innovation to engage and inform diverse audiences through primary MARCOM tactics and channels.

The Video Production Intern assists with in-house video production tasks, including camera operation, lighting setup, and basic non-linear editing, as well as managing office multimedia equipment and maintaining records for equipment usage and inventory. The Video Production Intern also provides administrative support by organizing SOW and invoice submissions, maintaining multimedia SharePoint folders, and managing brand assets through photo review and quality control.

APPLICANT ALERT: This is a paid internship opportunity for qualified applicants, and requires in-person attendance, three days each week, at our Jacksonville, Florida location. This is not a virtual position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide in-house multimedia production support, including operating cameras, setting up lights, running audio equipment, and taking still photographs using a DSLR.

  • Perform beginner to intermediate non-linear video editing and photo editing tasks.

  • Assist with various pre-production tasks.

  • Assist with the management of office multimedia equipment, maintaining records of serial numbers, acquisition dates, and warranties.

  • Track equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory updates.

  • Assist with video and photo reviews and quality control workflows in Brandfolder and server repositories.

  • Assist the Digital Media Archivist with archiving visual assets in our digital asset management system, Brandfolder.

  • Organize and archive Statements of Work (SOW) and invoices, ensuring timely submission and retrieval.

  • Maintain a systematic folder structure in SharePoint for multimedia assets.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Shown proficiency and understanding in digital media, video production, photography.

  • Ability to shoot and edit videos.

  • Teleprompter operating skills.

  • General knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

  • Highly positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.

    EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.

  • Working understanding of both video shooting techniques and video editing.

    EDUCATION

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college.

  • Pursuing a degree in digital media, video production, photography. Equivalent combination of relevant experience creating professional videos, along with a portfolio, may be considered in lieu of.

  • Degree in digital media, video production, photography, communications, journalism, or related field.
