Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Sustainability to join our team to provide technical expertise for our client for the detailed master planning of a large-scale mixed-use development project. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sustainable design principles, urban planning, and environmental regulations, along with a proven track record of successfully implementing sustainability initiatives in complex development projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the integration of sustainable design principles into the master planning process, ensuring that environmental, social, and economic considerations are carefully balanced.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, urban planners, and landscape architects to develop comprehensive master plans that prioritize sustainability.
Conduct research and analysis on best practices, emerging trends, and innovative technologies in sustainable development to inform decision-making.
Evaluate the environmental impact of proposed development projects and recommend strategies to minimize carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste generation.
Develop sustainability metrics and performance indicators to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide guidance and training to project teams on sustainable design principles and practices.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, urban planning, architecture, engineering, or related field
Minimum of 20 years of experience in sustainability management, urban planning, or related field, with a focus on large-scale mixed-use development projects and minimum 8 years' experience in GCC(KSA ideally)
Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, green building standards (LEED, BREEAM, etc.), and environmental regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.
Experience working with sustainability assessment tools and software
Professional certifications such as LEED AP, WELL AP, or similar credentials are required
