We're thrilled to announce that our one of our top clients in the Tri-Cities is searching for an Assistant Buyer to join their procurement team! In this key role, you'll process and track purchase orders for suppliers, commodities, and materials, ensuring timely delivery and top-notch quality. You'll also take on various administrative tasks as needed. salary: $16 - $18 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Work with Internal Customers to process Purchase Requisitions and requests, while helping to resolve any related processing issues.

  • Run “Receipt Transaction Reports” to reconcile any open orders, working with Receiving to close any that have been received.

  • Issue new Purchase Orders, and check status of open orders on a daily basis.

  • Ensure that all requisitions and other purchasing documents comply with established company and department processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintain department purchasing files and computer records to ensure that they accurately reflect history, price, status, etc., for all ordered materials and transactions.

  • Investigate processing issues to determine root cause, providing solutions to internal customers and suppliers with feedback.

  • Process all approved New Supplier Requests, including the forwarding and tracking of all required documentation.

  • Coordinate and expedite Purchase Orders with internal customers and suppliers in order to meet delivery schedule requirements.

Skills

  • Purchasing/Procurement (1 year of experience is required)

  • Administrative Duties (1 year of experience is required)
